Delicious Cabbage Chowder

 

I found this recipe in a cookbook that my sister gave me some time back, and it has

 become a new favorite of mine! If you like cabbage, I think you'll enjoy this soup. :)

Cabbage Chowder

4 cups coarsely shredded cabbage
2 cups sliced carrots
3 cups diced potatoes
3 cups water
1 Tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 cups milk
2 Tbsp. butter

Cook vegetables and seasonings in water until tender. Add the milk and butter. Enjoy!

Praise Him

We should learn not merely to praise God in affliction, but to praise Him for it.

 It is good for me that I have been afflicted;

 that I might learn Thy statutes. 

Psalm 119:71

Great is His mercy

During a recent airplane flight, this verse kept coming to my mind

as I looked out the window at this view below. I am so amazed 

at the greatness of God's mercy to those who fear Him! 

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great 

is His mercy toward them that fear Him. 

~Psalm 103:11
